When I started blogging 6 months ago I had a notebook full of topics and no idea if anyone would be interested in reading my thoughts on them, or if I’d have the discipline to follow through and write anything!

I started because there’s so much more ultimate content online than there was a decade ago, but there isn’t a lot of coaching content beyond the basics. When I was a young coach I learned a lot from the blogs of players and coaches and I wanted to give some of what I have learned back.

There are few things that consistently irritate me as much as players throwing a disc out of a drill because it’s not a Discraft Ultrastar. I understand completely that if you have only ever thrown with an ultrastar, another brand of disc is going to feel different. But just get over it. It’s only holding yourself back…
